Ohio Department of Development
Development’s Community Services Division provides financial and technical assistance to local governments and nonprofit organizations for project activities that benefit low- and moderate-income citizens and enhance the competitive assets of the state. The housing programs help to conserve and expand the affordable housing stock; address the issue of homelessness in Ohio; and provide short-term, emergency assistance and other public services for low-income Ohioans.

American Planning Association – Ohio Chapter
APA Ohio is a non-profit association of professional and citizen planners committed to promoting and enhancing planning in order to maintain and improve the quality of life for all Ohioans. APA Ohio is a state chapter of the American Planning Association (APA).

USDA Rural Development
Housing Programs give families and individuals the opportunity to buy, build, repair, own, or rent safe and affordable homes located in rural areas under 35,000 in population. Eligibility for these loans, loan guarantees, and grants is based on income and varies according to the average median income for each area.

HUD
The mission of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is to create strong, sustainable, and inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all. To achieve this, HUD works to increase homeownership, support community development, reduce homelessness, and ensure fair and equal housing opportunity by enforcing anti-discrimination laws and fostering housing justice.
National Housing Organizations

Enterprise Community Partners
Enterprise offers resources, tools and expertise to guide regional public investment in housing affordability. They provide research, financing options, policy recommendatioons, and capacity-building support for regional stakeholders working on affordable housing solutions.

National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC)
An organization that promotes fair access to credit, capital, and housing in underserved communities. They offer resources, research, and advocacy tools to guide regional public investment in housing affordability. They provide expertise on community reinvestmetn, fair housing policies, and quitable development practices.

National Low-Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC)
NLIHC is an organization dedicated to achieving affordable and decent housing for low-income individuals and families in the United States. They provide research, policy analysis, and advocacy tools to guide regional public investment in affordable housing. NLIHC offers resources such as publications, data analysis, and policy recommendations to address housing affordability challenges.
